For its 2011 players, Samsung is doing away with loading trays in line with its new 3S design concept of slim, symmetrical and slot-in. As such, the BD-D7000 comes with a unique hidden loading mechanism. The entire top panel pops up just a fraction of an inch for you to slot-in the disc. To eject, the top pops up and spits the disc out in one fluid motion. A pretty cool effect.

The touch sensor controls further accentuates its futuristic feel. No wonder it won the CES 2011 Innovations Design and Engineering Award.

• The DNLA compatibility enables you to connect other DNLA certified products around your house to enjoy multimedia files. In addition, by downloading a free special application, iOS and Android mobile phones can be used as a remote control for the BD-D6700.
